Dr. Take Horii’s approach is influenced by extensive Gonstead training, while also integrating modern chiropractic and holistic techniques tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Acupuncture
A natural healing method from Traditional Chinese Medicine that uses very thin needles at key points to release blocked energy (“Qi”), reduce pain, relax muscles, and improve circulation. It pairs well with chiropractic care.
Acupuncture is also effective for athletes — supporting recovery, performance, and injury prevention without side effects.
Japanese Manual Therapy
One of the most unique aspects of our care is the integration of Japanese-style manual therapy.
Rather than focusing only on the area where pain is felt, we evaluate the body as a whole to identify underlying imbalances contributing to the problem. Based on principles of anatomy and biomechanics, this approach works to restore muscles and joints toward their ideal functional position, improving posture, movement, and overall body balance.
In many cases, the source of pain may originate from a completely different area of the body. By addressing these hidden imbalances, we help patients achieve more effective and longer-lasting results.
Depending on each patient’s condition and goals, myofascial release and soft tissue techniques may also be incorporated to improve muscle and fascial function.
